PLOT

Mako, a university student who is bullied, reads a book from the library to escape from it. The main character of the novel, Ninja Hiro, appears in front of her and takes her to the Edo period to receive martial arts training.

Choreographed by TakSakaguchi’s and scripted by Sion Sono, Red Blade is a female action film that combines science fiction and ninja mythology. The influence of the Osaka Badass Team is clearly visible.
