PLOT

When his father gets seriously ill, Tulgaa who works as a chef in the city travels back to his village. While working in the field he meets a ten-year-old boy, Tuntuulei, who lives alone with his grandparents while his single mother works in the city. The exchange and the relation between Tulgaa and Tuntuulei make them question themselves. Impressively polished by first-feature standards, Amarsaikhan's exploration of (step) fatherhood in Harvest Moon is undeniably simple yet achingly tender, which may well prove to be a winning combination.
