PLOT

In the remote mountains of Yunnan province, there is a village where football is a beloved sport among the local children. Nevertheless, the only available playing field in the village has been taken over by the boys. Undeterred by the risks involved, 12-year-old Aymi and her friends resort to playing grapefruit football on the rooftops used for drying corn.

Football on the Roof is a children’s film that not only manages to excite young audiences about cinema, music, storitelling, and landscapes, but also demostrates how far one can go in life —even under the most difficult circumstances— if they hold fast to their convictions and goals.
