PLOT

A ruthless bandit launches a “blitzkrieg” armed robbery, which happens to stir up the spirit of two perplexed middle-aged men named Fai (played by Richie JEN) and Robby, who are about to plan a robbery and acquire their own gun.

Albert Mak successfully navigates each character’s predicaments and parallel storytelling with a mix of gritty and quirky crime-comedy tones. It evokes the charm of an old Johnny To film with its diverse, quirky characters and provides an exhilarating update to formulaic Hong Kong Cinema with its excellent casting and storytelling.
