Changning, prefecture of Hunan, in South-Est China, 1997. Yu Guowei is the security manager in a big metallurgic company. Near his location, there have been three murders of thee youngsters. The head of the Police Department, understaffed, asks Yu for help to solve this case. A quality noir cinema and an atmospheric immersion for all senses. The Looming Storm is a metaphor from Comunist China, where everything seems to be in order and under control, superficially, whilst underground is all rotten.
