The festival section Marco Polo Route, born three years ago, which features Western films inspired by Asia, has helped to discover and promote the work of new professionals.

As a result of this section, the festival has begun a new line of work: co-producing and supporting Catalan and Spanish film projects with Asian content, which today begin to bear fruit.

The short film Meiying MG-01 directed by Adrià Guixens, co-produced by the Asian Summer Film Festival and with the actress (and member of the festival team) Jin Jin Chen in the leading role, has begun its way through film festivals before its premiere in Vic next summer.

Meiying MG-01 has been selected by the FANT - BILBAO FANTASY FILM FESTIVAL, which will be shown on the 5th of May.
