The Asian Summer Film Festival 2022 has started its 19th edition certifying the return to pre-pandemic public normality, with more than a thousand people attending the sessions at L'Atlàntida and Bassa dels Hermanos. Hong Kong has been the protagonist country of the day, with the reception of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Brussels (HKETO) at the Casino de Vic, the world premiere of the film Remember What I Forgot and the evening at the Bassa, where local dishes have been served and there has been an exhibition of Chinese and Vic lion dance and a concert by Guillem Roma dedicated to Anita Mui.
The speeches of the deputy representative of the HKETO, Grace Li, the mayoress of Vic, Anna Erra, the councilor of Economic Promotion, Trade and Culture of the city council, Bet Piella, the representative of the ICEC, Carme Puig, and the director of the Festival, Quim Crusellas, preceded the screening of the film Anita, about the Hong Kong cantopop star. Longman Leung's film premiered at the festival after having been proclaimed, on Sunday night, July 17, as the top winner of the Hong Kong Film Awards, with five awards.
The actor Casanova Wong, who presents his latest film and will receive the Grand Honorary Award of the Nits Festival on Thursday 21, has also been present on the first day, participating in the activities and the tour to the city council, where Bet Piella has accompanied the actor and the representatives of the HKETO by the emblematic building of the city.
